iQFlo™ 3.0 addresses the challenges associated with variable speed domestic water pressure booster control and ensures our pumping systems perform as energy efficient as possible.
This integrated system is a departure from the standard technology, which takes existing firmware on the variable frequency drive (VFD) and basic sequencing code to make it work as efficiently as possible to sequence pumps on or off when demand is present or void. iQFlo™ 3.0 – a breakthrough in modern VFD pressure control – takes the control off the drive itself and centralizes all decision-making within the programmable logic controller (PLC), which operates at speeds exponentially 100 times faster than the firmware loaded on the variable frequency drive.

iQFlo™ 3.0 is revolutionary in that it goes beyond today’s VFD booster manufacturers, addressing standby losses and delivering significantly lower life cycle costs while decreasing the payback time period.

The software and its integration with our most current products, serve as an example of how QuantumFlo is raising the bar on efficiency standards and reducing the carbon footprint of inefficient competing pumping packages.

A recent set of requirements known as ANSI/ASHRAE/IES, Standard 90.1 spearheads energy efficiency for booster systems by requiring buildings to have a logic circuit in order to detect low water flow and make corresponding pump adjustments. QuantumFlo has led the industry response with GreenFlo™, which gives building owners and supervisors an option for exceeding these regulations without the hassle of contractors and mounting expenses.

GreenFlo™ is an algorithm that works side-by-side with QuantumFlo’s industry-leading software solution, iQFlo™ 3.0. The new standards require a change when demand is low, which GreenFlo™ provides. It gives the user the ability to enter the change amount, so that when demand runs low, it automatically adjusts. The solution then resets the pressure when demand goes higher again.

Other alternatives to meet these regulations include the need for contractors and a group of expenses that aren’t necessary with iQFlo™ 3.0 and GreenFlo™.
